Call to Worship

L: A rich feast awaits those who call upon the Lord.
P: God offers to us all the bounty of God’s love.
L: How we have thirsted for hope and peace!
P: How we have longed for joy and love!
L: God continually blesses and heals us.
P: Praise be to God for God’s steadfast love. AMEN.

Prayer of Invocation

Open our eyes, our ears, our hearts and spirits this morning, Lord, that we may be healed of our faithlessness, freed from our fears and anxieties, and placed on the pathways that lead to peace and service to you. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. AMEN.

Hymn: #101R There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy

Children’s Church

Prayer of Confession

Divine Healer, so often we get so focused on today’s problems we forget the big picture. We forget that you have promised to always guide and protect us. Our trust falters, and we take matters into our own hands but soon realize that things are out of control. When that happens, bring us back to you. Help us remember you are always there loving us and providing for us so that whatever comes our way, we will face it together. Amen.

Dedication of Our Gifts

Light of the world, you have created us to reflect your light so that others may be able to see in the darkness. Thank you for the ways your light shines in us and for the time we have been given to share your light. Help us to realize how much the light grows when we share it and give us the courage to share the light of our time, talent, and treasures to whomever you place in our path. Amen.
